Rev. Willie Callaway
Pastor
Reverend Willie Rogers Callaway, Jr. is a native of Social Circle, Georgia. He is the son of Deacon Willie Rogers Callaway, Sr. and Mary Evelyn Callaway and the fourth of seven siblings. He is married to Minister Jean M. Callaway. They are blessed to have three beautiful children: Nicholas, Krystle, and Willie, III. He is also the proud grandpapa of Nicholas, Jr., Destinee, Trinitee, and King Ivey.
He matriculated at Augusta State University where he received a Bachelor’s of Art Degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. He has received his CDA (Child Development Associate 1 Certificate) from Flint River Technical. He also completed the certificate program at the Interdenominational Theological Center (ITC) of Atlanta, Georgia and certificate from the Therapon Institute where he became a certified biblical counselor. Reverend Callaway has attended Erskine Theological Seminary where he is working on his Master’s Degree in Divinity and Pastoral Care.

Mrs. Evelyn Roberts Williams
Mother of the Church
Evelyn Roberts Williams is the 6th of 9 children born to Lessie and Hubert Roberts, Sr. (deceased) of Sardis, Georgia.
She attended the public schools of Burke County and received her post-secondary education at Paine College and the University of Georgia.
At an early age, she joined First McCanaan Baptist Church and has maintained her membership for decades. She is a member of the choir, the Sunday school class, and the weekly Bible class. In addition, she is the church clerk, a member of the Kitchen Ministry, and serves as Mother of the Church.
She enjoys cooking, traveling, researching family history, volunteering at the Burke County Archives, and spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Williams, widow of the late Dea. Sidney Williams, Jr., is the mother of one son, Brent, and the grandmother of two.
Mr. Lenwood Roberts
Chairman Deacon
Deacon Lenwood Roberts serves as Chairman of Deacons Ministry for the First McCanaan Baptist Church, where he has been a member for over fifty-five years. He is a graduate of Paine College and Georgia Southern University. Deacon Roberts is a retired school administrator with the Screven County School System. He has two sons, Bryant and Benjamin, both currently residing in Atlanta Ga. Deacon Roberts ‘ wife of thirty-six years , Gloria, who passed in July of 2019 and oldest son, Christopher, who passed away in Dec. of 2017 were a part of his Christian family.
